Making Vietnam’s e-visa wait make sense

Vietnam E-Visa Status is an independent guide built around the part of the trip nobody enjoys: the wait. You’ve applied for your Vietnam e-visa — now what? When will it be approved? What does each status actually mean? Is three days normal, or should you worry? We turn the official process into clear, realistic answers.

Who writes this

Our guides are written and edited by Daniel Pham. Daniel Pham is a Vietnam e-visa specialist and the editor of Vietnam E-Visa Status. Born in Hanoi and now splitting his time between Vietnam and abroad, he has spent eight years guiding travelers through the e-visa system — explaining approval timelines, decoding status messages, and helping people plan trips around realistic processing times. His writing draws on the official Vietnam Immigration portal (evisa.gov.vn) and the thousands of real questions travelers send in.

Independent — and honest about it

Vietnam E-Visa Status is not part of the Vietnamese government and cannot process, access, or speed up applications. For anything official we send you straight to evisa.gov.vn. What we add is plain-English context, checked against the official portal and refreshed as Vietnam’s rules change.
